- rendezvous abbreviationBritish Glass is calling for seminar presentations, based on practical examples of large manufacturing businesses securing funding for improvement in energy efficiency and carbon reduction, for a one-day glass industry event in November 2017. The unique bottle is also adorned by a range of eye-catching, hand designed labels. Each label is divided into three distinct parts: The first, an ordered pattern to represent ‘method', the middle panel showcases the logo and the third, a marbling pattern created to represent ‘madness’. We’ve been determined to create a more productive conversation and shared vision for improving competitiveness through decarbonisation and energy efficiency – and to get people on all sides to understand one another and be ready to play their part. I want to express my thanks to the British Glass staff who have made this happen.” This beautiful bespoke bottle was designed by M&E Design. It perfectly demonstrates how glass can be used as a vessel for ambition, style, and sophistication. The bottle was created with none of the usual visual cues of a standard whiskey bottle. Instead, it was crafted to celebrate the liquid inside and the process behind its creation. The design takes its cues from laboratory glassware found in the micro-distillery and the paneling of a whiskey cask. It has been shaped to refract and bounce light. The side panel embossing produces a Kaleidoscope of patterns within the body of the bottle, bringing Method and Madness together. Friends and colleagues gathered to applaud worthy winners across seven categories – and recognise the creativity and dedication which underpin the whole sector’s contribution to the economy, to society and to customers, staff and stakeholders.
